Dear Christians: We’re Not So Different, You and I

There’s a curious thing I’ve noticed in the spiritual community:

The louder I speak about love, healing and alignment—the louder some Christians shout back with accusations of witchcraft, deception and “playing with the devil.” It’s always ironic to me because if you strip away the labels, the incense, the tarot decks, the Sunday services, the oils and the rosaries—you’ll find that we’re all reaching for the same thing: God.

Some of us just take a different route.

✝️ When Jesus Healed, You Called It Divine. When We Do It, You Call It Demonic.

Let’s get honest for a moment. When Jesus laid his hands on the blind and made them see, it was called a miracle. When a spiritualist channels healing energy through reiki, it’s called “satanic.” When Jesus used oil to anoint and heal the sick, it was holy. When we anoint our homes with frankincense or cleanse with herbs, we’re told we’re “opening portals.” Make it make sense.

Let’s look at Mark 5:30, where it says:

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?”

That “virtue” was healing energy. He didn’t say a prayer. He didn’t shout in tongues. He simply radiated divine power… and someone in pain felt it and was healed. Isn’t that what reiki is?

💎 We Don’t Worship Crystals—We Honour the Earth God Made

Another common misconception is that spiritualists “worship crystals.”

Let’s clear that up. We don’t pray to rocks. We understand crystals to be tools—natural elements created by God, just like water, fire and wind. Tools that carry energy and frequency, just like human beings do.  God designed this Earth with systems of frequency and vibration. The Bible even acknowledges this in Luke 19:40, when Jesus said: “If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” Why would Jesus say that if stones held no significance? It’s not about the object—it’s about intention.

A cross around your neck is just a piece of metal until you assign it meaning. A crystal in my hand is just a mineral until I assign it intention.. and both of us are doing so to feel closer to the Divine.

🕊️ Ascended Masters: Jesus Isn’t Jealous

One of the deepest misunderstandings comes from the belief that spiritualists deny God altogether. That’s false. Many of us have profound relationships with God.

We pray. We give thanks. We cry out in moments of darkness…. We just don’t stop there.

We acknowledge other ascended masters too—souls who came to Earth to teach us something valuable: Buddha, Quan Yin, Mary Magdalene, even ancestors who carry wisdom through bloodlines. We don’t believe in worshiping 100 deities—we believe in learning from them.

And yes, we still honour God. Not the God of fear and punishment—the God of love, compassion and wholeness. Just because our altar doesn’t look like yours doesn’t mean we’re worshipping the wrong thing.

📖 Scriptures You May Have Forgotten

Let me show you the places where spiritual practices already appear in the Bible:

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them… to one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another knowledge… to another healing… to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy…” This is literally the spiritual gifts we work with—intuition, prophecy, healing.

Genesis 1:14

“Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years.” This is astrology.

Proverbs 27:9

Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart…” That’s aromatherapy.

Exodus 30:22–25

God gives Moses a recipe for sacred anointing oil. That’s plant medicine and ritual oil work.

So, if we’re being honest, it’s not that these things don’t exist in your text. It’s that somewhere along the line, fear replaced understanding—and control replaced curiosity.

⚔️ Christians Say “Don’t Judge” But Are First to Cast Stones

Here’s what really hurts.

So many Christians preach about love, mercy, forgiveness and grace—yet rarely extend those same values to those who believe differently. Instead, I’ve seen scripture weaponized. I’ve been told I’m lost, deluded, possessed. I’ve been told to repent for things I never claimed were sins.

Matthew 7:1 says:

Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”

John 13:35 says:

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” But when’s the last time you led with love instead of accusation?

An Invitation, Not a Conversion

I’m not writing this to change your beliefs. I’m writing this because I’m tired of the war.

Spiritualists aren’t trying to recruit Christians. We’re not cursing you with every tarot spread. We’re not “dabbling with demons” because we honour our ancestors or work with the moon… We’re just walking a different path toward the same Light.

And maybe—just maybe—you don’t have to understand it to respect it.

💌 A Call to Pause Before You Preach

Next time you see someone lighting a candle, pulling a card, or placing crystals in a grid—pause. Ask yourself if your reaction is rooted in faith—or in fear.

We are not enemies. We’re all children of the Divine—walking each other home.

💫 A Word of Encouragement

If you’re a Christian who’s been wrestling with the urge to explore beyond the church walls—know that it’s okay to ask questions. It doesn’t mean you’ve lost your way… It might mean you’re finally starting to find it.

And if you’ve been judged by religious voices for your spiritual practices, I see you. You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone—especially not to those who only know how to speak from a pulpit of fear.
